History
Founded in 2007, TC Urbes is result of a process born in university, from the studies group Urban Bicycle Paths, a Culture and Extension Project developed in Architecture and Urban Planning School at University of São Paulo (FAUUSP). TC Urbes is a company that has in its principles to develop and support researches.
A company which north is to promote humanization of cities through urban planning, and to make active transportation - non-motorized - as part of building a fairer and more accessible city over the current highways culture.
The company gathers partners from public and private initiatives and within its main work in this period there are:
- Integrated Bicycle Paths Planning to Santo Amaro sub-City Hall (São Paulo/SP, July/2008);
- Functional Design of CEASA / Avenida Faria Lima Bicycle Paths Line (São Paulo/SP, September/2008);
- Systematization and evaluation of proposed sections to São Paulo Bicycle Paths System (São Paulo/SP, October/2008);
- Universal accessibility Renewal Project to Parque da Maternidade (Rio Branco-AC, June/2009);
- "The bicycle and the cities" book release (September/2009).
Headquartered at Rua da Consolação 2514, sighting, not by chance, to Praça do Ciclista (Cyclist Square) at Avenida Paulista, the company now has more and a multiple staff, which includes professionals from different fields who work in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary on development of plans and projects for space renewal, passing necessarily by the society-environment relation.
